Now just resize the selection to the size you want it to be and all the selected layers will also be transformed. Choose to Move and Transform to scale the selection, make sure the preserve aspect ration box is checked. Ungroup the layers, and to resize multiple drawing layers, just click on the box to the right of the “Eye” icon so there’s a check there after making your selection. You can go to File->revert to go back to the last saved version of your page (prior to the grouping).Īll that remains is to open up your Destination story file, go to the page that’s the destination for the group that was just copied into the Materials palette, drag the origin page group from the Materials to the destination page and Presto! there’s your low-res page on a higher res page. Now just click and drag the Group on the Layers Palette to the PageMover folder in the Materials Palette. Sometimes, I have to close the User Folder and then reopen it to properly see the Destination folder. Find a folder named “User” open that folder and then click on the “New Folder” icon and name your new folder “PageMover.” In the dialog box that appears, give your group a memorable name and (optional) choose 8-bit from the display options. Now from the layers palette, click on the “Group Layers” menu item. Select all the layers on the “origin” story page.

This won’t copy rulers or panel rulers, but works okay on any drawing layer and text (with or without balloons). But there is a good work-around: Materials! If you have EX, and want to copy a page from a lower resolution (let’s say 150 dpi) to an higher one (for example 600 dpi), and if you just import a page, the page retains its original resolution. Anyway, I had to figure out how to get my page into a story. Yes, in the past Manga Studio was called Comic Studio. If you are curious you may find it interesting to know that CST stands for Comic Story and CPG for Comic Page. cpg ! It’s not that this information is of much use here, but if you are looking on your hard drive for one of those files it’s probably good to know this extensions. At least if one does not think to complicated.Ī story file in Manga Studio has the extension. I really was convinced that I had created a story last night! This was the first time that this happened to me, thus it was the first time that I had to find out how to create that story file and then get my page into it.īelieve it or not but I got stuck on this in the first moment, though the solution to this problem is very easy. However, I did not create a story at all. Luckily I found the page that I by accident had given the name of the chapter. Of course I calmed myself down very fast because I was convinced that I would find it in my well organized map structure on my hard drive. I started Manga Studio and hit the menu option to open the story I had named chapter 2. Just like you, I discovered my mistake this afternoon when I headed to my digital drawing board to give my panel the finishing touch. You will recognize this situation: working passionate on your drawing late at night even though the grown up person in the back of your mind is telling you that it’s bed time.

Today I discovered a very stupid mistake I made last night when I was creating the first full page panel of the next chapter of Wall Street Hijack.
